From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After eight three point landing at a nearby grass runway the aircraft returned to the hard surface runway at Lakeway Airpark, (3R9), while attempting a three point landing the aircraft bounced slightly and upon touchdown swervered suddenly to the left and then right. The pilot attempted to correct with full left rudder assisted by the instructor in the rear seat using full left rudder and left brake, the aircraft departed the runway on the right and ran into a drainage culvert. The right main gear was torn off the aircraft. The prop was damaged when it contacted the berm.
