From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airman stated that he forgot to lower the gear prior to touchdown, and did not hear the gear warning horn due to the noise-cancelling bose headset he was wearing blocked the sound of it. Airman stated he was distracted by other aircraft in the traffic pattern at the uncontrolled airport.

The aircraft was lifted by personnel at the airport to remove it from the runway. One of them stated he reached into the cockpit and turned on the master switch. The gear extended normally. The individual stated that he noted the gear handle was in the down position when he activated the master switch. Visual inspection of the landing gear revealed no apparent faults or failures. Aircraft appeared to be well maintained.
