From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After flying for about 30 minutes, the pilot approached for landing. On short final the engine lost power. The pilot set the aircraft down on airport property on a slight up angled incline. The right aileron spade was broken off, the landing gear was broken and spread out by the impact and the propeller blades were bent in a slow curve toward the back. The aft wooden spar on the right wing was cracked in two places just above the mounting for the aileron spade.
