From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Jfk terminal 4 iat cleared aircraft via golf taxiway to park at gate 7B.

There were two wing walkers and a marshaler guiding the aircraft as it powered in to the gate.

The ramp area was clear as the aircraft approached the parking spot.

Just as the aircraft was about to come to a stop at the stop mark, the flight crew felt a jolt and the plane stopped.

At no point did the marshaler ever indicate to stop prior to that.

The ramp crew indicated to the flight crew that the forward leading edge of the left wing tip hit the secondary jet bridge.

There were no injuries to any crew or passengers since the aircraft was moving at a very slow speed.

The passengers deplaned the aircraft in a normal fashion.

The investigation revealed the secondary jet bridge was not in its proper stowed position.

The aircraft?s nosewheel was on the parking line and stopped on the proper mark on the ramp.
