From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N738MA a B737-800 operated by miami air was preparing for departure from the signature FBO ramp at bos. Flight crew was onboard. Signature FBO employees were preparing to service the aft lav. One employee was backing the service truck to the aircraft; another employee was marshaling the truck back to the aircraft. The spotter was behind the vehicle. For reasons unknown at this time the truck accelerated striking the spotter, wedging him into the aircraft. The truck continued to accelerate driving over the spotter, subsequently striking the aircraft aft left side, continuing under the aircraft. The cab of the truck was crushed by the collision; the vehicle came to a stop approximately 100' to the right of the aft section of the aircraft. The spotter was fatally injured when his head struck the aft lav service door and the bottom of the aircraft.
