From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC of 1625D landed to the east on lake hood (lhd) east-to-west water lane (frozen ice). PIC landed in first 300' and taxied down the water lane to the end of gull island and proceeded to execute two 360 degree turns to the left. The PIC lost control of the aircraft during a third turn the left and impacted a taxi-light located on the eastern end of gull island. The PIC informed the control tower they impacted the taxi-light.

The PIC exited their aircraft while the engine was running with a passenger inside to reposition the aircraft for further taxi operations. The PIC taxied up the northern channel from the location they impacted the taxi-light and continued toward their parking spot. The PIC was unable to control his aircraft and turned into N5263X, a parked American champion citabria. The propeller of N1625D struck N5263X'S left wing tip. N1625D'S left wing went above and onto N5263X'S wings. A top hook on N5263X put a 4" gouge under N1625D'S left wing ahead of the left aileron. The PIC informed anc tower about hitting the aircraft. The PIC then shut off all electronics and had an unidentified onlooker help them dislodge the aircraft from the parked one. They moved the aircraft to a parking spot without further incident.

As the FAA filed it
