What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot experienced disorientation as to where the white runway and white snowbanks met. By the time he realized he was too close to the snowbank, it was too late, the left tip caught the snowbank, the airplane spun around ninety to one hundred degrees counterclockwise, putting the airplane sideways into the snowbank. The right wing tip dipped and hit the ice/snow. Visible damage to left and right wingtips, windshield, propeller and main landing gear.
