From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 03/17/2014, at approximately 1005 MST, N53503, a Grumman TBM-3E landed on runway 1 at the Glendale Municipal Airport (geu) in Glendale, AZ. As the aircraft was about to exit the runway at taxiway A6, the pilot reached down for the flap handle to raise the flaps, but inadvertently raised the landing gear handle instead. The landing gear retracted resulting in damage to the left wing spar, left wing upper and lower skin, propeller, engine cowling, fuselage skin aft of cowling, and left and right bomb bay doors. There were no injuries to the 4 persons onboard. VMC conditions existed at the time. This report concludes the cause of the accident was due to pilot error.
