Pilot statement

On April 10th I flew the aircraft to Progressive aerodyne with an english guest of mine. Searey central at Progressive was partly glassy water and I elected to land on a portion of the lake that had ripples. I bounced on landing and attempted to complete the landing instead of immediately initiating a go-around. When I finally initiated the go around there was not enough room to clear the trees on that side of the lake. We impacted the trees and came to a stop 180 degrees from the direction of travel. I shut off the master and ignition switch and climbed out of the aircraft to try and get my passenger out. He was unable to climb out on his own but emergency personnel helped him out and on to a stretcher. I accompanied him to the hospital with the emergency men. He is being released today.
