From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot executed three point landing after stabilized approach to runway 32 with winds variable at 6 knots estimated. After landing, the aircraft tail swerve to the left with the nose swinging to the right. The pilot applied corrective action but the aircraft ran off the runway and into a wooded area. The right hand wing struck small trees and large bushes causing an uncontrolled 180 degree turn resulting in the left hand wing striking the trees. Visual inspection revealed minor damage consisting of several aircraft fabric punctures underneath the left hand and right hand wings, various dents throughout the left hand and right hand wing leading edges, left hand and right hand wing tip damage, and damage to the left hand wing landing light assembly. The pilot in command also stated that the propeller experienced sudden stoppage at idle power setting.
