From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was enroute from placerville, CA (pvf) to boulder, co (bdu) and diverted to Wendover, UT (env) due to door popping open in flight; possible wind and equipment malfunction landed gearup, prop strike, unknown other damage at this time. 4/22/2014 inspected runway marks from a/c landing gear and propeller strikes. A/c skid on its belly approx. 1300-1400 feet before it came to rest. Inspected a/c on the ramp where the a/p manager had it tied down. A/c was resting on tires with landing gear showing partially deployed. Gear handle was down and gear circuit breaker was popped. Damage was confirmed to the propeller and belly skins, strobe light was ground down and other belly antennas were damamged. Further investigation needed once the aircraft is put on jacks.
