From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airman states he became rushed while entering the pattern at haf-Half Moon Bay, CA because another aircraft was coming into the airport on the GPS instrument approach, the aircraft told the airman to go in front of him to land first because aircraft on the approach was slower. The airman states he was concerned about getting off the runway quick enough to allow the other aircraft to land, and became rushed and forgot to use a mental or physical checklist. The airman stated that he even forgot to do a "gumps" check because he felt so much pressure from the following aircraft. Airman was honest and forthcoming. Airman will be seeking additional training on his own when and if he buys a new aircraft
