From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot and privacy data omitted reported making multiple flights together with multiple landings by both persons. Both are certificated pilots. Pilot reported that he then made several takeoffs and landings as sole occupant. Pilot stated that on his fourth attempt the aircraft rolled left while he put in full right aileron. The aircraft then entered what is described as a left spin and struck trees prior to impacting the ground south of runway 28. Inspection of the post crash by allentown FSDO maintenance inspector and operations inspector revealed no apparent control integrity issues. No other non crash related failures or abnormalities were observed.
