From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On may 27, 2014, 1305 hrs PST, pilot in command (PIC) privacy data omitted (aircraft-N222RS) was landing se to nw on runway 31R at gnoss field, CA (dvo). During landing PIC experience severe crosswinds and swirling winds 90 degrees to the runway. At approximately 2300 feet on rollout the aircraft right wing was lifted by a possible wind gust causing the pilot to lose control. The aircraft skidded to the left of the runway catching the berm and gravel on the left. After running off the runway to the left, the aircraft rotated to the right collapsing the right main gear and bending the nose gear to the left. The aircraft spun 360 degrees through the gravel and came to rest on the taxiway facing southeast. Both the pilot and passenger exited the aircraft through the right door. The right door was buckled preventing easy egress. An individual used a pry bar to open the door and both the PIC and passenger exited the aircraft. No injuries were reported by either individual.
