From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated - on the takeoff roll the aircraft could not accelerate to lift-off speed (vr) due to the high grass (3-4 inches) runway length 1640 feet. Take off maximum eng/ RPM @ 2200. The PIC aborted the takeoff after 50% of the runway was used, and the runway is a slight down grade. The PIC was unable to stop on the remaining runway, struck a guardrail off the end of the runway, and the aircraft flipped over coming to rest down an embankment, 20FT from the impact sight, causing substantial damage. The impact ripped off the left main gear and damaged the nose wheel, wing surfaces, and empanege. Minor injuries were sustained by the PIC.

As the FAA filed it
