From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot needed to jump start his aircraft before he left. Once he took off he selected the gear handle up. All the gear moved then all electrical power shut off. The pilot was unable to get power restored. When he arrived at Titusville he used the emergency gear extension to lower the gear. He could not tell if the gear was down so he contacted the tower by cell phone to check it. The nose gear was not down all the way. He used the emergency system again and the gear did not appear down. The pilot slowed the aircraft down and landed and upon touchdown the nose gear collapsed.
