From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airman privacy data omitted, a commercial rated pilot, rented a Cessna 172 from pacific states aviation with the intention of preforming touch and goes at the Concord airport to regain his currency. As privacy data omitted taxied and approached the hold short lines for runway 19R, he lost control of the aircraft and veered into the dirt, past the hold short lines and struck a taxi light with the propeller. When the aircraft veered onto the dirt the left main tire dug into the dirt and the aircraft made an abrupt 180 degree left hand turn and came to a stop.
