From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Flight instructor and low time student manually moved aircraft from hail shelter to grass taxiway. The instructor hand propped the aircraft which was not equipped with a starter and entered the aircraft. The aircraft is only equipped with heel brakes on the pilot (left) side of the aircraft. Since there is a slight uphill slope to exit the parking area additional power was required to begin the taxi away from the hangar area. The aircraft immediately swung left toward the hail shed area and impacted a parked aircraft before control could be established. Substancial damage was inflicted on both aircraft. No personal injuries were sustained.
