From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The morning of 08-13-2014, N2190H had the vacuum pump replaced at a maintenance facility in gooding, ID. While enroute at a altitude of 8500', the engine lost oil pressure and began to run rough. The Lemhi county airport (smn) was 12 miles directly ahead. The engine roughness became worse and started trailing smoke. Oil was coming out of the top of the engine cowling and was becoming visible on the pilot's windscreen. The engine subsequently failed. The aircraft touched down in a alfalfa field and impacted a irrigation wheel line, 4 wire barbed fence, ditch, slid across a 2 lane asphalt service road, second ditch, before striking the airport security fence and came to a stop.
