From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed show low, (sow) airport at approximately 06:20AM with a destination to apple valley California. While the aircraft was heading to apple valley California the crew encountered bad weather, IFR conditions. Witnesses observed this aircraft circling the prescott and Rimrock airports searching for a place to land due to bad weather. The pilot chose to land the aircraft at the Rimrock Airport. Witnesses on the ground at the Rimrock Airport observed this aircraft setting up to land on the ?down-hill, runway 23 rather than the recommended up-hill, runway 5. As the aircraft got closer to the threshold of runway 23 the aircraft went sideways with the nose pointing to the south, right. The aircraft was traveling at a high rate of speed. The aircraft then appeared to straighten out to the centerline of the runway, still travailing at a high rate of speed. The aircraft made its first contact with the ground midway down the runway. As the aircraft was continuing to land it was rocking back and forth, left wheel touch first and then right, both tires never in contact the runway at the same time. Then the witness observed the aircraft take a nose-up attitude momentarily and then disappear over the cliff. The witness heard the engine get louder after the aircraft left the end of the runway.
