From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Insructional flight. Practicing forced landing procedures. First attempt, the student did'nt do well. Second attempt at a different location, student did better but not well. Third attempt was near a private owned grass airstrip. On a left downwind pattern, the student was still at 1300 feet AGL, still decending. Near the end of the airstrip, the instructor added power to go around. The engine sputtered and did not power up. The instructor took the control and turned toward the strip. The aircraft crashed in the corn field next to the airstrip.
