From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC stated he arrived at his helipad and it was snow covered. He said the black top area next to the helipad was clear and appeared just to be wet. He hovered over the black top and started his landing. He said initially when the skids touched down it felt good so he proceed to complete moving the collective down.

The PIC stated that then immediatley the helcopter rotated on the ground at least 1 1/2 times and sliding into the snow bank on the edge of the black top area. The tail boom then struck the snow bank. PIC completed the engine shutdown.
