From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On December 05, 2014 at 1531 eastern daylight time, a Cessna CE-172 m aircraft, N6591H, registered to and operated by a private pilot, received substantial damage when it aborted takeoff following a loss of directional control while departing runway 01 at the sawyer international airport, (ksaw) Marquette, MI. Visual meteorological conditions and moderate cross winds prevailed at the time of the accident. The aircraft departed the left side of the runway and came to rest approximately 50FT. Into the snow drifts. The nose-wheel was sheared off and the aircraft flipped onto its back. The runway was covered with sanded patchy ice and snow at the time of the accident with a mu reading of 29. Winds were becoming gusty during that afternoon.
