From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that he had departed from goshen airport (gsh) for pattern work and then he flew to elkhart airport (ekm) to do more pattern work. He then went away from airport (ekm) to do some flight maneuvers ( turns about a point) and after a couple of turns the engine started to run rough and then quit. He attempted to restart but the engine would not restart.

He landed in a field but impacted a 500 gallon propane fuel tank and then a house structure.
