From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Investigation of incident revealed that flight instructor and student had completed a series of training maneuvers approximately 10 miles south of airport, during training of these maneuvers the automatic extension of the landing gear override switch had been engaged and not reengaged prior to returning to the airport for accuracy landings practice. Both pilots recall seeing three green lights to indicate that the landing gear was down but neither pilot check the landing gear select position. After landing they opted to do a touch and go, at takeoff speed the pilot started to pitch up and the nose gear collapsed, the propeller struck the runway, takeoff was aborted.
