From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The skydiving incident was observed by three skydiver witnesses on the ground at the skydive sacramento skydivers landing zone, northwest of the runway at the Lincoln airport. The skydiver w. hawkins was seen to have a normal opening ?good chute?, and began a common spiraling decent maneuver. At approximate 50-60 feet from above the ground the parasail airfoil chute collapsed on the right side, causing the skydiver to descend at a high rate of speed and impact the ground. The skydiver contacted the ground at a high speed unusual attitude resulting in a fatal injury.
