From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The accident occurred during the student pilot?s first solo flight. The student flew with the flight instructor for about one hour the day of the accident. After an hour of instruction, the instructor and the student pilot did two traffic patterns at whiteman airport. The instructor then got out of the airplane to let the student solo in the traffic pattern.

On the first landing the aircraft porpised and bounced several times on the runway. The second landing had the same results. The tower at whitman airport suggested for the student pilot to taxi back to the hanger after the second landing. The damage was not discovered until may 6, 2015.
