What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
While taxiing aircraft on the hanger/ramp area, the pilot attempted to maneuver around a parked aircraft and a parked vehicle. The left wingtip of the aircraft struck the windshield of the parked vehicle causing the aircraft to abruptly spin left around the vehicle with the left wing maintaining contact with the left side and back of the vehicle. The aircraft continued to move until the propeller struck the right forward passenger door of the vehicle. The outer most 6 inches of the propeller blades are curled/bent forward indicating the engine was under power and the propeller was turning upon impact. The outer 2 inches of one propeller blade has been broken and missing. The leading edge of the left wing has minor scratches and dents along it's length to include a broken landing light lense at the wingtip. Per the engine/airframe maintenance logbooks, the engine was installed as a factory overhaul on 5/7/2015, with only one maintenance entry for an oil change on 6/26/2015 prior to this incident. The engine has accumulated less than 60 hours since installed.
