From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

An approach and landing was being made to runway 32 at 5B2. The glider approached at at higher than appropriate angle and airspeed in a clean configuration (gear retracted, spoilers retracted). The pilot made a low pass over the runway and started a left turn back to runway 32. The glider continued to lose altitude. On its base to final turn it overshot runway 32 where its left wing contacted the surface, in a grassy area, followed by its nose. The glider came to rest facing about 180 from the runway heading on a berm north of runway 32.
