From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The nose landing gear failed upon roll out after landing on runway 32R at the Buchanan Airport in Concord, CA. The nose landing gear folded up and the nose of the aircraft struck the runway while the engines were running. Damage is limited to the propeller blades and the nose cone and nose landing gear doors. Additional damage to the nose landing gear strut and linkage was a result of the aircraft nose gear collapsing a second time during the process of towing it off the runway. Further investigation into the cause will take place during the repair of the aircraft. Any additional information will be added to this report as it becomes available.
