From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft left kiag on a VFR flight to west Virginia. Before departing the area the pilot flew north toward lake ontario to sight see around fort niagara then turned east along the lake shore. The pilot spotted an airport with a grass runway and proceded to attempt a full stop landing followed by a takeoff. After landing and during roll out the pilot states he spotted two deer at the side of the runway walking onto the runway. The pilot applied throttle and lifted the aircraft over the deer then settled back onto the runway. The pilot states that the aircraft bounced a couple of times and he was unable to takeoff or stop the aircraft before coming into contact with trees at the end of the runway.
