From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 14 nov 2015 at 1446 the PIC of N9872 lost control during landing rollout at Palomar Airport (crq). It was the fourth flight of the day while landing on rwy 24 with winds at 240 7KTS and unlimited visibility. Aircraft made a 3 point landing and rolled straight for 20-30 yards, then it started to "fish tail" to the right. The PIC was able to correct to the left and track straight then the aircraft turned to the right again and rudder was ineffective so the left brake was applied and the aircraft entered a ground loop. PIC ran shut down procedures and assisted the passengers off of the aircraft. The right main landing gear collapsed under the fuselage and the lower left wing out 1/3 contacted the ground and bent upward.
