From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on December 13, 2015 the pilot departed burke lakefront airport in cleveland, Ohio. Upon raising the landing gear after takeoff, he heard a bang.

The pilot performed a "fly-by" at bkl and the tower told him that his nose gear appeared to have not retracted. Upon determining the plane was flying properly, the pilot continued the flight to his home base Clermont County, I69.

Upon approach to I69, the pilot attempted to lock the nose gear, but was unsucessful. He then attempted to manually lower the gear in order to lock it, but was also unsucessful.

The pilot landed at Clermont County, at approximately 6:40 p.m. upon landing the nose gear collapsed and the plane fell on its nose resulting in minor damage.
