From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed ksun with an intended ferry flight to kbjc to address a main landing gear door unsafe light illuminated on the l/h and r/h side.

Upon departure, flight crew selected gear up. A nose gear unsafe light was observed.

Flight crew cycled gear and noted a rubbing sound from nose gear when nose gear retracted into wheel well.

Flight crew selected gear down and diverted to kboi for a precautionary landing.

Flight crew executed a low approach to enable kboi tower controllers to observe and confirm that landing gear was down.

Kboi tower controller reported to flight crew that landing gear was down but nose wheel was perpendicular to aircraft longitudinal axis.

Flight crew then reported to kboi that they would be declaring a emergency landing.

Flight crew held south of airport to burn fuel and prepare for the emergency landing.

Flight crew performed emergency landing on 10L.

As the FAA filed it

FLIGHT CREW THEN REPORTED TO KBOI THAT THEY WOULD BE DECLARING A EMERGENCY LANDING.

FLIGHT CREW HELD SOUTH OF AIRPORT TO BURN FUEL AND PREPARE FOR THE EMERGENCY LANDING.

FLIGHT CREW PERFORMED EMERGENCY LANDING ON 10L.
