From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Delta flight 1324 from bna to atl was being pushed back from gate B-1 at bna in preparation for departure. The tug driver signaled the flight deck crew they were cleared to start engines while continuing to push the aircraft back to the taxi line. During engine start the N2 was below 50% so CA advanced the throttle to close the bleed valve. CA was looking at the FMS and not at the engine instruments during throttle advance. Airplane jerked forward and bent towbar; tug ended up contacting and damaging the radome on the left side of the aircraft. Crew submitted reports to the dala asap program.
