From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Upon landing on rollout left wheel assy hub broke loose from axle, causing acft to veer left, pilot attempted to correct aircraft direction by applying right rudder and braking. Aircraft rolled to right side of runway toward a 10 foot drop embankment, pilot intentionally grounded left wing to stop forward motion. Left wing received damage at wing tip, forward leading edge, front and rear spars. Upon further inspection the left wheel inner hub assembly cracked and broke away from main assembly due to possible overload/fatigue at touchdown. NTSB sent part assembly to Washington headquarters lab for furher evaluation. Operator has initiated a malfunction defect report. There was no post crash fire, pilot was uninjured.
