From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Parachute fatality: normal freefall and opening of chute and the jumper flew a standard/predictable pattern. He appeared to have not seen another jumper who was on a longer final approach. It is believed that at about an altitude of 100 feet, either both jumpers chutes made contact or the incident jumpers chute was affected by the other parachutists wake turbulance. The incident jumpers chute collapsed and there was not enough altitude to recover.

Experience and training: us parachute association c-license holder with 625 skydives, 25 in last 30 days, 178 in last 12 months.

Club affiliation: us parachute association. Primarily jumped at S43 (skydive Snohomish)

As the FAA filed it
