From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Student pilot was performing short field landings and touch and go's in practice for upcoming checkride for his private pilot certificate. On pilots 5th landing, he noticed on his flare that he was low and was unable to correct. The nose wheel hit the edge of the asphault at the start of the runway which rises up about 10" from the ground level. Damage occurred to the nose wheel fork (cracked) and a flat nose tire. Inspection following the landing revealed slight wrinkles in the firewall and damage to longerons under the floor.
