From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Returning home to Jackson, PIC said he checked ATIS and winds were variable at 4, he asked tower for a wind check while on final to runway 26 and they responded variable at 4. He said touchdown was normal 3 point landing and when he was rolling out the left wing lifted. He applied power to go around but it was hot and humid, density altitude was reported at 2700?. He aborted go around and aircraft went off the left side of runway in to the grass, right main gear collapsed and aircraft spun about 270 degrees and came to a stop. After he and his wife exited the airplane he looked at the windsock and saw that he had landed with a quartering tailwind.
