From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On the take-off roll, the left main landing gear retaining bolt threads failed and allowed the wheel assembly to become detached from the main strut. The wheel remained attached to and dangled from the aircraft by a secondary strut. The pilot performed a landing on the grass runway on the single gear. During landing the wheel-less landing gear strut caught in the soft ground and the aircraft flipped coming to rest inverted. Emergency responders were on the scene immediately and removed the pilot and passenger who received minor injuries.
