From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot released banner along rwy 24 and proceeded to rwy 33 to land. Pilot made a 2 point landing and encountered a crosswind condition with a tailwind component. Aircraft began to slip and the pilot attempted to correct the situation and regain directional control. Aircraft encountered a ground loop which side loaded the landing gear causing the r/h gear to fail. The r/h gear folded under and broke free of the aircraft. The r/h wing struck the runway damaging the spar and the propeller hit the runway damaging both tips before engine quit due to sudden stoppage.
