The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot was set to go to pasadena to a meeting at 1900PDT. Pilot arrived at gibbs service in Montgomery Field, where he checked the weather and for any squawks on the aircraft. He then proceeded to the ramp to preflight the aircraft. During preflight he saw the fuel truck in the no-movement area. He proceeded to taxi clearance to the active for a nw departure. Pilot taxied out of the parking spot into the taxi centerline. While taxing and listening to ground control, the pilot felt a hit on the right side. This caused the aircraft to veer right. After the hit, engine shutdown, secured aircraft and checked for damage and injuries. Pilot waited for airport ops, and notified the owner of the accident. The pilot stated he had no sight of the fuel truck while taxing out.
