From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated he was performing practice agricultural application using water in lieu of chemicals over an empty field. After completing several passes, the pilot stated he "clipped" the top two wires of the power lines at the south end of the field. The first power line was cut on contact with the right main gear and the second power line wrapped around the right main gear. Pilot executed an emergency landing immediately after striking the power lines. On rollout of a controlled landing, the power line wrapped around the right main gear became tight and snapped the right main gear from the aircraft. The aircraft became airborne briefly for approximately 250 ft. and then landed on his left main gear and right wing tip. The aircraft continued across the field until it struck a barbed wire fence and came to rest just beyond the fence impact point.

As the FAA filed it
