From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N30CC a DHC-2 mk iii operated by fly denali (A3WC) was in the process of repositioning the airplane part 91 from leisurewood airstrip (9AK6) over to Wasilla Airport for fuel and on up to healy airport. The airman made two radio calls- one five miles out and two -entering left base for 04 at Wasilla. Approximately twenty feet above the runway a Cessna 205 flew over the top of the aircraft. The airman immediately went to beta range and pushed for the ground. The empenage of the Cessna 205 impacted the DHC-2 propeller. The Cessna 205 nosed over hitting the ground collapsing the nose gear and slid to a stop. The DHC-2 veered off the leftside of the runway into the ditch. No injuries were sustained. A local witness observed the DHC-2 landing and the Cessna 205 turning final at approximately the same time landing on top of the DHC-2. The Cessna 205 was on an instructional flight with a student pilot and a flight instructor who had been conducting touch and go's prior to the accident. It has been determined that the Cessna 205 radio was intermittent and therefore the communication link between the airplanes did not transpire. Neither airman was aware that another airplane was in the traffic pattern and landing on runway 04 in Wasilla.

As the FAA filed it
