What happened

Student pilot was practicing touch and goes on rwy 14 at Winchester regional airport. Pilot made a steep descent and during landing he bounced 4 times before veering off the runway and hitting a rwy light. There was significant damage to the prop after it struck the rwy and the firewall was damaged.

STUDENT PILOT WAS PRACTICING TOUCH AND GOES ON RWY 14 AT WINCHESTER REGIONAL AIRPORT. PILOT MADE A STEEP DESCENT AND DURING LANDING HE BOUNCED 4 TIMES BEFORE VEERING OFF THE RUNWAY AND HITTING A RWY LIGHT. THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE PROP AFTER IT STRUCK THE RWY AND THE FIREWALL WAS DAMAGED.
