From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The liberty county dispatcher called with a report of an airplane crashing in the trinity river below the Texas highway 105 bridge. Witnesses at the scene stated there were no individuals seen exiting the aircraft.

At the scene, a video taken of the accident revealed the aircraft flying by above tree top level. After crossing the south end of the east shore sand bar, the aircraft pitched up and climbed apparently at low power, rudder turned to the left and appeared to be at to low of an altitude to recover and crashed into the river. Witnesses statements indicated the subject vehicle had been performing aerobatics earlier in the day.
