From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot initiated takeoff roll by slowly increasing engine power. During takeoff roll the airplane drifted left. Pilot stated there was insufficient rudder authority and so increased engine power intending to increase rudder authority. The airplane departed the runway to the left about 1200' from the departure end of runway, and continued across a gravel road immediately adjacent to the runway. Evidence that the left main gear rolled up a small raised area of dirt/rocks. After passing the raised area the plane impacted a 4X6 post that supported a satellite dish with the left upper and lower wings, separating the outboard 2'-3' section of the lower wing. The plane then nicked a tree while continuing forward, spinning about 270 degrees counter-clockwise and came to rest up-right with both main landing gear collapsed. There was no post crash fire nor evidence of aircraft system or control failure prior to impact.

As the FAA filed it
