From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot, who had student pilot certificate only, was flying with a non-certificated passenger. They took off from a private airport between 8-9 am, and they were last seen around 10:30-11 am. Witness stated they were performing low level maneuvers over fields. When contact with them was lost; the pilot's grandfather initated a search and found the wreckage in a corn field. They were descovered a little after 2PM. Both the pilot and passenger was fatally injured, and the aircraft was destroyed.
