From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 16, 2016, aircraft N940KD bounced when landing on runway 15 at John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria county airport (jst) damaging the five bladed composite propeller. The pilot stated he landed too fast and pulled power back to flight idle and the engine would not spool up quick enough to do a go around. PIC maintained control and taxied from the runway and completed a normal shutdown. The aircraft and engine were inspected by columbia air service, 175 tower avenue, groton, CT 06034. They replaced the propeller and inspected the engine according to pratt & whitney Canada?s maintenance manual part number 3070902 (72-00-00) and DAA2016-565-PT6A-66D-RV0448. The aircraft was returned to service and a special flight permit was issued to fly the aircraft to columbia air service for further inspection and maintenance.
