From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC stated in telephone interview that he had departed kivalina, AK enroute to Kotzebue. While following the noatak river he noticed the aircraft flight characteristics acting differently and noticed ice forming on wings. Also he noticed he didn't have a working airspeed indicator. Altitute at this time was 300 AGL, flew aircraft lower to try and avoid the icing. This was not working so PIC decided to make an off runway emergency landing on an island adjacent to river, on landing the aircraft hit soft grass area and flipped. Aircraft ended up inverted on top of the aircraft's wings.
